This bike came in for some much needed maintenance and to find out why there was a weird knocking from under the fuel tank. After some careful inspection, it was found that the original mold that help prevent vibration from teh fuel tank to the frame had been torn and deteriorated somewhat. The only reasonable solution was to get a new mold for it. It is essentially some thick shock absorbing foam. Not totally unique but worth the effort to refit some new to remove the origianl issue with vibration. Finding the correct damper part number was super easy by using the tools Webike provide from their help pages with links to big manufacturer websites and schematics etc. Easy really. The price from Webike was better than my local Yamaha dealer could do and along with some other parts for this bike, I had them all shipped together to save some money. EMS was teh courier I used as they just get the job done right first time. My entire order arrived in 5 days from order shipping. Perfect. The part came in the generic Yamaha packet. The foam/damper is a nice flexible piece. Seems to be more rigid than standard damper foam and worth the money to get OEM in my eyes. I even used the one full piece in 2 sections for either side of the fuel tank. There is some excess for just the one side anyway. Worked a treat and now there is zero vibration or sound when riding. These were the nuts for the frame bolt that also needed changing for this bike to be in a better road worty condition. I had already got the bolts in the order so it made sense to buy the nuts to go with them. No point using old, probaly damaged nuts for this project. It just makes sense to buy new. I founf the correct nut by usng the tools provided and the help sections on Webike website. I usually cross rerference anyway just for my own peace of mind. As with most of the bolts and nuts in my order, I found they are a really good cost effective way of sorting a bike out. Why go for cheap after market nuts and bolts when you can get the genuin yamaha ones for a really good outlay. With the other bolts and parts, I had them delivered by EMS in 5 days from shipping. Everything was well packed and the extra care Webike use, was exceptional. The nuts are perfect, very well machined and clean from any extra metal flakes or shard that could compromise the efficiency of the torque needed. Very pleased with the service and the parts. These were another set of new Yamaha bolts that were needed to get this bike into better shape than it came into my shop in. These were a more essential set of bolts as they hold the front bracket to the actual frame. No idea how they got so messed up but they sure needed changing. Finding the parts were not hard as I used Webike help pages and links they provide. The cost of the bolts was really good value for what is an important bolt. With the other parts needed to sort out this bike already in my basket. I got all them shipped using EMS and after shipping, all arrived in 5 days. The packaging was excellent and Webike took the care and time to pack the smaller parts into bubble wrap envelopes. Althpugh the bolt came in a Yamaha packet, it was still inside the extra envelope. Really nice touch there Webike. The bolt has a long shaft and the half threads are perfect. No notchiness when installing. The threads were crisp and clean from contaminants too. This was just a generic set of bolts I wanted to get for the YZF-R6 foot rest I have sat in my garage. I decided to go for the OEM for these parts as they are strong, work well and stand the test of time in regards to the appearance. They were not hard to find as they literally fit most Yamaha models for one thing or another. They were part of a larger order and all shipped together to save on shipping. My package arrived in 5 days via EMS and everything was well packaged, even these small bolts. The threads are super clean, easily fitted and smooth as silk on the install. One of my springs for the Akrapovic exhaust took a little damage due to a rock in the road. There was no saving that one so I decided to buy a few spares for it. I found the right length by checking Webike site and found the correct ones to replace. The price from Webike was really good value and as I was already ordering other parts, the shipping cost was a lot less that anticipated. I use EMS as they just get my orders to me fast. In 5 days from shipping, the springs arrived. They were well packaged by Webike and were inside a bubble wrap envelope too. The springs measured exactly what I needed for the replacement. The quality is superb and look such a good set of springs. The rubber sleeves are well made and the logo is loud and proud on them. The actual spring is a tough one and takes a bit of force to get it attached to the mount points. This is good in my opinion as you do not want them popping off during a ride out. As with a lot of these older bikes, at some point you just want to spruce them up a bit. This is where we are at with this YZF-R1 2010 model. The crankcase covers were not too great and getting them replaced and not just repainting was a far cheaper alternative. I found the right part number by checking Yamaha schematics and then inputting that on Webike website. The price Webike had this for was fantastic value for money and better than I could source locally. After adding to my basket, the other parts I needed to order for this bike were all shipped together. This saved on shipping costs and I know that all the parts I need for this job would arrive tat the same time. After only 5 days my order arrived in the UK. The parts were all professionally packaged and there was no signs of damage to the box or contents. This crankcase cover was inside a sturdy Yamaha box. The finish on the cover was a lovely satin black which seems to be the norm for most Yamaha covers. The workmanship on this crankcase cover is excellent but you would not expect anything other than that from Yamaha. A great Japanese company. This thing of beauty came in with a lever holder issue where it had eventually given up the ghost and snapped at the wire input slot. Not really an issue as you can still buy the replacements and are OEM. Finding the right one was a little tricky but eventually I got there. Webike did stock these which was great news and the price was ridiculously cheap. Along with some other parts in my order, I got them all shipped using EMS, which is now my preferred courier. They just get the job done fast. 5 days after being shipped my order arrived. All the parts were free from any damage and were in perfect order. This lever holder is nothing too special but it also holds the clutch cable and so needed to be right. It has a nice satin black painted finish, all the threaded holes are well machined and it went onto the bars really easily. The time consuming part is removing all the switch gear to get this put on. At the time of inspecting this bike as it was due for the MOT, I found that not only was the belt toast but the disc brake was also in need of attention. Upon closer inspection, I found after precisely measuring the tolerances that the disc was beyond it's life. No problem, I can order one from Webike. Finding the right one for this model and year was easy enough using the schematics section on Yamaha website. The part did however fit the other smaller version too so readily available. The price Webike had this for on sale was great and far better than I could source locally from the dealer. Along with some other small parts I had them all shipped using EMS. In 5b days my order arrived. Perfect condition with no problems at all. The disc was well packaged inside the Yamaha box and protected with bubble wrap that I assume Webike applied. The disc itself is a stunning piece of machining. The tolerances after checking are 100% spot on to what they should be from new. The disc face is super well machined and there was no swarf or dust from this process inside the box. Very happy customer right here. Fitted in no time and on the road by the end of the day. So, this bike was in for a small check over and the owner wanted to get a protector for the screen. These do eventually get scratched so if you can stop that from happening in the first place, it's a good idea. Finding that Kawasaki actually make a genuine one for this bike was truly surprising. Anyway, finding the right one for this bike was straight forward by using the schematics for this model and year. Although the price is a little higher than some after market ones you could buy, why risk that when Kawasaki have put the time and effort into making one specifically for this model. No doubt, it will also be more hard wearing than after market ones too. Along with a couple of other smaller parts I needed, I got them al shipped using my preferred courier, EMS. They just get the orders delivered fast and with no hassle. In 5 days, my order arrived. The screen protector arrived in the Kawasaki packaging and was also kept nice and flat by Webike warehouse by adding a piece of cardboard. Very nice. The screen protector was very god quality and not as flimsy as I imagined it to be. It is a pretty tough addition. Easy to fit and does have a very slight tint to it.
