This bike came in after a being dropped. The start switch hit the fuel tank and in the process, the start button broke inside. The problem with this is that when you turn the key, the bike automatically starts, not good at all. The only solution to this was just to buy a new start switch. Finding the right part for this year of bike was fairly easy by checking Honda schematics. There are slight variations from years so be sure to get the right one for your bike. This is also a superseded part from the original OEM. The cost from Webike was great value for money and a lot better than my local Honda dealer could match. I had another item I needed shipping so I got them both shipped together to save on some postage costs. In just 7 days, my order arrived. The start switch was packaged by Honda in a bubble wrap packet and was in perfect condition when it arrived. The quality is excellent and all the switches work flawlessly. No stutter when flicking switches at all. Nice and smooth as you would expect and need from such an important switch. Fitting was a little bit of a pain as you need to route it as the oem one was. Tank up, a few other parts moving to one side to locate all the mount points etc. Once fitted and ignition on, the switch works perfectly. About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the materials used are a combination of a black coloured ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic for the coil housing, a black soft plastic tubing for the sleeve and a black 7mm diameter wiring for the ignition lead.About the feeling of use, I was looking for a replacement for the original ignition coil that had a damaged ignition lead and this was the perfect solution. There was no need to go for a higher priced aftermarket ignition coil, as this particular bike is used as a commuter and I was not looking for any performance gains but just a reliable spark in all weather conditions.Products to buy together, Some new spark plugs from NGK preferably would be ideal to also add to your cart when purchasing the new ignition coil so you are maximising the chance of obtaining the best possible spark for your new setup. Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the ignition coil for my installation was average, the nature of the task is simple but access to the part on the Grom does demand the removal of fairings to complete the task. Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of the Honda ignition coil is great and much more affordable then upgrading ignition coils. About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 48 hours of me placing the order and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. I have used the OEM Honda ignition coil and tried an after market ignition coil and can report back that there is no need for you to do the upgrade as the OEM Honda ignition coil performs very well with no problems ever deteched. Good quality product and as you can see from the listing at a very affordable price at about half the cost of the after market one that I purchased.View Detail
