I purchased the 5.5N springs. Huge improvement! The bouncy response of the stock setup is gone. And even under very hard braking, the front no longer dives and bottoms out. There is much better feedback and confidence in the corners. This is one of the most important safety upgrades that should be done on the Grom/MSX125. It is also one of the best values out there. If you don't want to pay the high-cost of a full valve/spring replacement kit, this is a very decent, affordable option.
* About quality and texture, The Kitaco front fork springs are available in 4 different hardnesses which is helpful as it caters to everyones needs. Steel springs with colour coded marking to reference the 4 different options.* About the feeling of use, Once installed the feel while riding around town and on the open road is much improved, especially under hard braking.* Products to buy together, You will now also be wanting to do something about the rear shock absorbers. Kitaco offer a introductory level option and a premium option made in development with Gears.* Difficulty of installation, The installation is challenging and does require special tooling for working with this design front fork. The process was completed in 120 minutes with some difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, The Kitaco front fork springs are by far the best value option available. If you are just looking to upgrade the springs only then don't look elsewhere.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 6 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, Take your time to research which spring hardness is best for your weight and riding style. Use the product reviews to assist in making a decision on your purchase.View Detail
About quality and texture - Excellent quality, nice to have the O-rings included.About the feeling of use - So much better now, the front end no longer dives on regular braking.Products to buy together - A set of rear shocks are now required to complement this front fork spring upgrade.Difficulty of installation - This is a hard installation which takes time, you will also be needing a heat gun and Kitaco's special tool product # 674-1432500.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Great price for the springs but then the additional tool required makes it expensive.About shipping and packaging - Shipping was slow but as expected since I went with the cheaper by sea freight option.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Take note that the lower fork legs unscrews clockwise and I used 10w fork oil with my setup.View Detail
The springs fitted correctly & are much better than the soft OEM springs. They feel firmer & you don't get the bike wanted to dive on hard braking.Fitment was easy enough but you will need a way of holding the fork tubes during the swap over & a way of heating the bottom of the fork leg.I used a heat gun & worked very easy.View Detail
The OEM fork springs for my Honda Monkey 125 are just too soft. It is nice that Kitaco offer these upgraded fork springs in four different ratings to suit everyone needs and at a fantastic price. After some research I decided to go with the type 6.0N for my weight 75 kilograms which is a little on the stiffer side but what I like. The maintenance job to change the fork springs is difficult and required special tooling which Kitaco produce and is available from Webike. I am now very happy with how the motorcycle handles on the road.View Detail
Stiffer fork springs were necessary to obtain correct suspension sag for my (75kg) weight on my GROM. I chose the 6.5N type option and this gave ideal static and race sage for my weight. Best of all, no more bottoming out on nearly every bump like just entering a driveway or when stopping quickly. Fitting requires special tools and took me a few hours. The fitting instructions recommend using a gas torch to denature the stanchions thread locking product but I found a electric heat gun can attain a high enough temperature to achieve the same result. As usual the Kitaco Front fork spring kit was comprehensive (including a Kitaco decal would be nice). I noticed that the Kitaco 6.5N type springs were shorter (free length) than the STD. Grom springs and wound from thicker stock than the OEM. spring as would be expected. I recon stiffer front fork springs are a MUST for most grom riders, here in Australia.View Detail

Craftsmanship is excellent. Aluminum milling is precise, and anodizing is well done. The spacers are also aluminum (anodized black).Installation was easy on a 2014 Grom, but I did have one minor problem with tool clearance. K-Factory used allen bolts instead of regular socket head bolts. On my 2014 Grom, the rearset did not provide enough clearance for my allen socket head (see bottom right picture). I would have needed to remove the rearset, and I did not want to go through that trouble. I had to use a small L-shaped 5mm allen key to tighten the right bolt, which meant I had to estimate the torque by hand. The 2017 Grom (or 2016 MSX125) has a different rearset design, which may provide more clearance. K-Factory should have incorporated regular bolts, which would have eliminated this problem, but this is a minor complaint.Instructions are in Japanese only, but installation is simple and there are a few videos on youtube regarding a similar product, so this was not a problem.Shifting, especially finding neutral, is definitely made more precise with the support. I am very happy with this product.View Detail
Windscreen was easy to install, and it is very sturdy. The only issue I had was that placement was somewhat tricky. The mounting arms could not be placed very high on the handlebar because of obstruction from the front brake line. This caused the bottom of the windscreen to rub against the headlight shroud on my 2014 Grom. So I needed to use an extra washer on each side of the bracket on the windscreen to raise the position of the screen (shown in picture). The windscreen helps keep the instrument cluster a little drier in the rain. It also helps reduce drag at high speed. I actually gained approximately 1 mph on the freeway.I'm very happy with this windscreen.View Detail
This gauge is a nice improvement over the original. The green display is brighter than the original blue, and the touch-sensitive area works just as well as the button. Installation was easy with instructions in both Japanese and English. The only problem is with the plastic mount that was included. The nut that is supposed to secure the screw would not fit properly in the mount, so the screw could not freely turn. There was so much tension on the nut that the nut stripped out the slot. In the end, I needed to wrap mounting tape around the bar to stick the mount to the bar.View Detail
